I lost my sight when I was 14 years old. I am now 38. I can see perfectly in my dreams but my dreams are quite odd most of the time. The interesting thing is that my mind makes up things visually;like people I've met since losing my sight etc. What my mind creates is probably not accurate at all but it's still interesting all the same!

My dreams are the same as my normal life, in that I'm still blind in them, I don't suddenly see at night, that'd be insane and worthy of scientific study.
The difference between me awake and my dreaming, is that in dreams I'll just know things that in real life I wouldn't know.
So, if I'm having a dream I'm in the mall, trying to buy a coffee, and an angel, with wings, walks across the ceiling, I'll know she has wings, know she's on the ceiling and maybe what she's wearing, the same way I know the capital of NewYork State is NewYork city, which is to say it's an awhereness below conchess thought.
Aside from this one thing, my dreams tend to be pretty normal, and this one change from reality never tips me off that I'm in a dream, I always take it for granted until I wake up. . . But I guess the tldr is that if I dream of being in a gunbattle, I'll know way more about what everyone's doing than if I was really in one.

I get this question a lot with many people doubting that I can have dreams since I cannot see.
I often have dreams of places I've been, people I know, voices I've heard on tv and movies and etc. I've dreamed I'm inside my favourite books, dreamed I'm in different schools I've enrolled in, dreamed I was being chased, dreamed I was flying on a dragon, dreamed I was in a mental assylum,.
I have zero sight in my dreams guess my brain does not know how to manufacture the act of seeing, but I walk around without a cane or guide dog, (just like I do in my home) Mostly the dreams are scenes but sometimes they are more like feelings I am sure everyone knows what I mean.

I have been visually impaired all my life and I have the same level of sight in my dreams as in waking life but my dreams are based on my other senses more

I am blind and i normally experience my dreams as i would experience a normal day. So i basically dream with touch, sounds and smells.

I’m in my late 30s. I don’t remember any dreams from 15+ years ago. I probably dream - i just don’t experience / remember them. I’m so jelly of people that can recall dreams. I get it’s like thinking while you’re sleeping - but a bit more free ? IDK.

> without color
Color blindness? That's not generally the kind of blindness being referenced here.
It's generally total or partial vision loss altogether.
