Yeah, I can echo his sentiments. Thankfully I work from home, plus live with a couple sighted folks, so it's not a huge deal for me.

I used to go to the mall all the time, which is only about 2km away, but now I just get everything I need delivered. There's a couple points during that walk where I sometimes get myself tripped up and list from time to time. Before KoVid it was no problem, because there were always people out and about and it'd only be a few minutes before a stranger asked if I needed some help.

With KoVid though, everyone is staying at home, and the few people who are out aren't coming anywhere close to me for obvious reasons. People will yell out of their trucks, "you're good to cross the street bud!", which is nice, if I get tripped up I might be out there for hours, so I just don't bother anymore and get deliveries instead.

It's been a pretty big issue for a lot of people who also need physical support as well as vision loss. I've spoken to a number of clients who don't want to head out because they normally hold onto someone (via sighted guide), but they don't want to get too close to their care workers.
