What are my options for virtual machine software on the mac side? (self.Blind)
submitted by RJHand
Is vmware fusion my only option? Or is virtual box usable? Are there any others I should try?
I've heard conflicting things about virtual box. Some say its usable, others say its not. Kinda confused on that one lol.

VMware fusion and Parallel's seem to be the two most popular choices but I can't vouch for their accessibility or lack there of.

I know you don't want to hear this but bootcamp is really your best option! Windows runs natively on it's own partition, and, depending on what you're doing, remember that your processor and ram etc will be at the mercy of both operating systems unless you go the bootcamp route.

The VirtualBox UI is unusable. Almost nothing is read by a screen reader. If you are comfortable on the command line then VirtualBox is fully usable. The UI is actually less capable than the command line for VirtualBox.

So guess I should go with vmware then? I have no interest in duel booting, or I'd bootcamp it.

Interested in this too.

The other main player is parallels, interested to hear from users about which one is accessible though
