Done. Fucking love NVDA.

I switched to NVDA after using JAWS for 15 years. Previously, NVDA was lacking way behind. Now it feels like JAWS is starting to fall behind day by day.

It's so nice. I find it only lacks one feature now in my daily useage, and that's navigation by tabs in web pages. NVDA seems to recognize them, but I can't find a key to navigate to them.

I think that's not too much to worry about when I get an easy way to toggle between browsing and using a web app's shortcuts and a super-handy review cursor that's always available as long as you have a numpad. Being able to assign insert and caps lock simultaneously to the screen reader key is also a nice bonus.

I'm still missing a few JAWS things. Mostly the ability to OCR a whole document or describe a picture. It's something I'd pay for an addon for, but it's not as popular a request as something like remote access. I also think JAWS braille display support is a little smoother, although NVDA improves so much almost every release.

Oh and I still kinda liked the way you could navigate virtual documents with JFW; the announcements about things like table nesting were part of the text so you can skip them more easily.
HMMMM... what else? The JAWS speech and sounds manager was cool, for certain situations. and I wish NVDA profiles let you do more - not just preferences but input gestures, dictionaries etc would be nice.
But such niggly things, JAWS market ownership is surely falling.

I'm away from my desktop at the moment, but normally navigating between browser tabs is mapped to CTRL-Tab. What happens when you try?
