Be wary of sign manufacturers if you don't know braille—many companies get the braille wrong on custom signs, and sometimes even on mass-produced signs.

I may know someone, she does greeting cards but I think she does other things as well

If she doesn't have a braille certification, I think you should get it checked by someone who does.
