Hello, I'd appreciate if you answered some of my questions related to how you use computers, smartphones and the like. (self.Blind)
submitted by Mezurashii5
Here's a link to a Google Form with the questions. There's quite a few, so don't try to go that much in depth with each answer. I hope Google Forms are accessible for all of you. If not, there's always the comments - list of questions below. Thanks!

$1

The questions from the form, shortened:

1 What accessibility tools (programs, features, peripherals, etc.) do you use?

2 Have you tried any accessibility tools that sucked? Why did they suck?

3 Have you ever been in a situation where a lack of accessibility has made it impossible for you to use an important program / device? What was it?

4 What are the best and worst parts of using technology for you?

5 Have you been using technology more during the coronavirus outbreak? What for?

6 Do you rely on technology more or less than sighted people for your social interactions, work, education, entertainment?

7 Does blindness / visual impairment force you to interact with friends online more than face to face?

8 What do you use for online interactions?

9 What are the biggest accessibility issues related to online interactions?

10 Do you use tech for work? What do you use and what accessibility issues do you have with it?

11 Do you use tech for education? How important is it? What do you use and what accessibility issues do you have with it?

12 Do you use tech for entertainment? What do you use and what accessibility issues do you have with it?

I'm happy to fill this out regardless, but can I ask what the research is for/who you are representing?

Hi, I'm knew to NVDA and reddit. I have huge difficulties finding the hotkeys for level one comments i.e. I'd like to navigate threads by level one comments and if I find it interesting delve deeper into level two, level three, etc.

Could you please tell me if you know which keys I have to press to be able to navigate like that. For now I navigate using b for butttons, and n for comments.

Thank you. Sorry for this question that is totally out of context, but I'm a bit lost here.

If just using N and shift N isn't what you want then...

Try grabbing and learning how to use the indent nav addon.

Otherwise, if you have an Iphone, go grab the testflight testing app and the Distopia app beta from the first post here.

I hope that helps you.

I'm a university student and I have a case study assignment.

The data from this might get used in a presentation of mine, but I'm mainly trying to hone in on a decent, narrower topic to go deeper into - right now I just know what general area interests me overall.
