My cousin is blind and on disability. He's recently divorced, and it has left him in a bind in many ways. It's hard for him to take care of some things due to his impairment, so he's going to need to sell his home. He has that well in hand, but is unsure what to do next. We both live in East Tennessee and I have no idea where to start to help him. He has sewed at various jobs through Voc Rehab and isn't afraid to work. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure that he let's employer's know about the tax credit for hiring a person with a disability.

I'd start with the $1. They have voc rehab and independent living services. You can also look into the $1.

Thank you. His ex wife handled most of this stuff and I just want to make sure that he’ll be ok wherever he is.

That's sweet of you to get him started on the right track and get him in touch with the right people.

He’s my favorite cousin. I’d like to move him closer to me to be honest. We don’t have a lot of family and I think he could get around better in a more urban area.

Any update on your cousin, downtotech? I always like to know when local services work out.
