I've driven a car at least 3 times in my life, mainly in parking lots but once I hit the streets. I made a 3 point turn once too. Fun times. I should add I have no vision what soever. Would not recommend doing that but it was fun whenever I did. Had someone in the passenger seat directing me and telling me when my speed changed. If I recall I rarely ever went above 50 kilometers, not sure about miles as I'm canadian but yeah.

Yeah me and that same friend were planning on going gocarting (fuck spelling) with him in front of me in one and me behind in one on the phone with airpods in. Never got around to it though, perhaps thats for the best though now that I think about it lol.

I have normal vision, but my mostly-blind husband can still parallel park way better than I can so even tho I always drive, we switch at the end and he parks!

White water rafting. That was amazingly stupid and stupidly fun. 10/10 would do again.

I've gone hiking, shooting, and done some water sports. I don't think I've ever done anything to your particular extreme, but rather, I try to adopt that type of lifestyle. Sure, I'm not going to do anything exceedingly stupid, so instead of not outright doing something, I'll see if I can find a safer way to do it.

which water sports? are you proficient or did you just give them a try? i am worried I couldn't do them
Winnmark1 points3y ago
Water bike thing, that one where you hold on to a board and and a boat drags you, and canoeing.
I didn't master any of these, but it was out of disinterest. I don't really enjoy water sports, I just did them for the experience.
I prefer running, hiking, and shooting.

Are you a good shot? I am also into shooting if you wanna share tips.

After losing my sight, I drove a jet ski twice, with someone behind me giving me directions, drove my dad's boat a few times, again being given directions, and while I've been cross country skiing, canoeing, snow shoeing, and repelling etc, it was with other blind people and sighted people so may not really be risky enough for this request.
