pfSense Screenreader Accessibility (self.Blind)
submitted by joininfluck
(For background: pfSense is a software/operating system that can be run on computers to work as an internet router. If you're using it or have access to it, you or your internet admin will know)

Anyone got a pfSense based router that they could check out with a screenreader? We've been thinking about building our own router and using pfSense but if the web page isn't accessible it won't work for us. As far as I've seen in videos and screenshots it's just regular HTML (runs PHP on the server), but I've no way to try out the page.

The latest versions are still pretty accessible using NVDA and Firefox/Chrome. Other then the graphical charts, I haven't had any real problems.

Haven’t used it for a while (Ran into some performance problems last time so switched to a different solution), but it was reasonably accessible if I remember correctly. If you can’t use the web UI, you should be able to make some changes over SSH.
