Can anyone check a visual image of something I write in braille? (self.Blind)
submitted by Wrthington
Hi all! I know this is a bit of a strange one.

A friend and I are designing a tee shirt to sell as merch for his company. We will be ordering a couple testers from different brands to see what we think of the quality in order to help us pick our favorite. He is blind and since we don't care what's put on these shirts really (as they are just for fabric quality tests), I'd like to surprise him with a message in "braille" (which will be on the rubberized iron on type stuff they use for images on clothing). It will be more of a gag gift than having to be actually functional but I'm hoping if I do it properly he will be able to read it and will get a laugh out of it.

Anyway, I was hoping there is someone who could check over my work (visually) to see if I have written my message properly! Thank you :)

People do this all the time on r/braille. There are many teachers and transcribers on that subreddit who would love to check the braille.

Well, I think that's a difficult ask, but here's an idea.

You can write letter by letter like this

24 1 134 1 12 1 145 234 1234 15 123 123 15 1235,

and then us blind people will be able to decode your message and make sure you wrote it correctly.

additionally I was once at a convention for the blind and they sold t-shirts in Braille including one that said "If you can read this you are too close"

I wanted it for the message but it was a woman's shirt and I am male.

The problem with that is that there's still a chance it might not be drawn correctly on the shirt.
