I have albino ocular albinism and gotten hell for it for years I was curious how everyone else handled their “bullies”? I personally cope with guitar playing

Part of the gig I’m afraid. I’m a fully grown person with kids. I’ve gotten harassing phone calls, threats against kids, Facebook posts saying that I’m “God’s mistake”. All because I’m a “blind fuck” (or similar). I’m a moderately successful business owner in a professional field.
If I got punched out at school the school used to suspend kids and such which is good. The other stuff is harder to deal with (ie a school employee behaving badly, or - later in life - other people). Pretty hard to get legal help to sort it though - most people (not all) are smart and know how not to get caught.
It’s not unusual for other blind and low vision I speak with to have significant negative experiences - up to and including physical harm.
After a number of incidents my wife begged me to get regular surgery to try and straighten my eyes up. Straighter eyes can - anecdotally - reduce risk of harm and harassment. There is no science behind this - unfortunately stats are not collected. One day I dream that we will have an agency run by blind people for blind people (in Australia - perhaps this is fixed elsewhere)
This all sounds sad - and it is. But I want to be real. Despite these things - I am a successful human being. I am tougher, smarter and try harder because of my adversity.
The best way forward is to build allies, seek help from those who can grant it, and don’t waste time on parts of society (including “service providers”. that won’t help you.
In life gotta play the cards you’re dealt. Play well my friend, play well.

A lot of people bullied me in school saying "That (Aniridia) doesn't exist" and some other pretty terrible things. I picked up drawing at a young age to vent and it still helps to this day.
Still get bullied by customers at work, but now I know that some people are just ignorant and care only for themselves.

I still play some games online, with other people. Once I got called Hellen Keller. Even though I was doing better than that person. I took my fiances advice and said fuck it. "If only you were as original as the joke your mother made." When he asked what I meant after several seconds I told him to find a mirror and look in it. The rest of my team at the time did the oooo burn noises, and I got an accommodation that match. As much as I try to be buddist and kill them with kindness, it felt so nice to knock them down a peg.

I have never gotten bullied for being blind, I had very respectful bullies who only bullied me for being a nerd who enjoyed reading and did not choose to do drugs or drink under age.

We had very different experiences, I never did drugs but I did drink for s time thankfully I stopped drinking

i don't know much about what its like to live with albinism but i am a big fan of a reggae artist named "Yellowman". He had a really rough go at life because he had albinism. He was even orphaned because of it. they couldn't hold him back though. he is one of the greatest dancehall deejay's of all time. you should look up his story if you need a little inspiration. his music is also pretty damn good if you ask me.
