For those of you who may not know me, my name is Ross Minor and I"m blind. I've been creating Youtube content for around 4 years and have accumulated over 25k subscribers. I'm of the opinion that content creators, especially bigger ones don't help out the little guy out nearly enough. There's so much to learn when it comes to creating content that it can be extremely overwhelming.
The goal of this team is to seek out aspiring and driven content creators to collaborate with, promote content, and give advice for creating content. It doesn't even matter if you don't have a Youtube, Twitch, or whatever channel yet, the goal is to find people with personality and potential to succeed. This is not a team that anyone can join, there are certain requirements you must meet that are detailed below.
###Prerequisites for joining
1. You must have a Twitter account.
2. You must have a decent mic. If you're not sure, go ahead an apply and be sure to link your content so I can hear your setup. If you're mic is not up to standard, that's perfectly okay. I'll be sure to give you suggestions on what mic to buy. If you're on a budget, there are plenty of mics that sound great at just $30.
3. This should go without saying, but you must have content that you can provide to showcase who you are and your personality.
###How to join
1. Email my business email (rossaminor@gmail.com) and tell a little about yourself: name, disability, social media, what content you create, etc.
2. I will review what you have to offer and contact you accordingly. If you do not meet the requirements for joining, you will be given tips on how to improve so you can reapply. As the team grows, this will be a group process instead of a me process.
Q: What will I get out of this?
A: A community of similarly driven disabled content creators, strategies for promoting your content, advice on creating content, and more. Keep in mind this is all advice from me, as more people join the team, the more we can all help each other.
Q: What am I expected to contribute to the team?
A: Details will be ironed out if you are accepted, but mainly you are expected to be active within the team, whether that means giving advice, collaborating with the team, or even just socializing within the team. This is not a group where you can join and stay silent.
Thanks and I look forward to hearing from everyone!
