So just wanted to comment on this and say thanks! I found pretty much nothing on this topic when I first had children and had to improvise a lot when I was first starting out.
It turns out my methods are pretty much exactly in line with your tips. For a small baby, I recommend the ergo baby carrier. This thing is the be all end all of baby carriers. It can be used on the chest for little ones and then can be recalibrated for wearing on the back once the baby grows enough to make that practicable. I found that about a year to 16 months was right for me, but this will of course vary between babies and parents.
I also sometimes do the stroller pull technique, though like you, I don't love it. It can work, but it can be hard if you're not paying complete attention. When I do use it, I have a little umbrella style stroller with two handles, one on either side. I pull it with my left hand on the right side handle so the stroller is squared up to my back, and use my cane as normal with my right hand. just be slow when you have to make a sharp turn; because you'll need more space than you're used to. I think of it like a person being used to driving a car and having to drive an 18 wheeler. You'll need some clearance when you turn.
Thanks again for this video. I subbed to your channel and have watched a bunch of your videos. Never hurts to have a little O and M refresher.
