Etiquette for posting image descriptions on Reddit (self.Blind)
submitted by what_the_ghost
I've started getting into Reddit recently and wanted to ask if there is the preferred way to post image descriptions on the platform? Is it better to try to fit a description in the title of the post, or is it better to put them in the comment section of the post?

I'm new to Reddit but as far as I know the comments are sorted by popular/up voted, so no guarantee I would find an image description in the comments. Not sure if there are length limitations on posts but would suggest putting the descriptions in the post if at all possible. Ideally Reddit should have a way to provide alt text, which is surfaced specifically to screen reading software, but I'm not sure if it does.

The problem I’ve run into is when you make an image post on Reddit it takes away the description box for you to write in.

Use seeing ai. Its pretty good at image descriptions, as it should be.

Reddit doesn't allow alt text.
