Can’t wait to see you all there.Hi everyone, I have been blind since birth. Writing has been my life since I was seven, when brailleing my own stories was one of the only ways to entertain myself. I’m majoring in English and have had some professors say they are stunned at my ability to be so descriptive considering my lack of vision. All this is besides the point. I got into RolePlaying, writing stories with others, when I turned 18, but I run into a lot of the same problems. People want face claims of my characters, which I find difficult since I can visualize them in my head but finding an image of them proves challenging. Or they find that they suddenly have somewhere else to be once they find out about my visual impairment. Maybe it has just been the communities I have been a part of :(
This brings me to why I’m here. I’m looking to create a community on a social media platform for writers who are interested in creating worlds and writing stories together or sharing our work, to talk with, build each other up, and just have fun, to share our possibly way too descriptive character sheets lol, an be ourselves. I am creating a discord server for a world I’ve been working on for years, but we can move somewhere else if you guys would like. Message me or comment below and lets make this happen because I really need some good, positive creative writing friends in my life :)
