Question for fellow visually impaired folks: how do you navigate transportation in a rural area? Any tips or tricks for getting around? (self.disability)

Yeah, rural areas are so inaccessible, it's really frustrating. I dream of living in the country, but I have no idea how that will work. I've pondered having a horse and buggy :-)

Bus if there is one, bike if you can, walk if you've got no one to drive you. We've got Uber now but because of the amount of drivers in relation to geographical area, it's often too expensive. My cane doesn't work well in deep snow, either.

I live in a very rural area. I've found.nd having good rapport with all transport people in this area gets me priorities. There are a few that are obnoxious. But that's only a minority.

That Dakota disk is a good start for all the rough terrain. It is available from ambutech. I also like the flex tip for rough terrain
