Im sorry for your loss. There is a song, or more of a spoken word track " A machine for loving" by Iggy Pop that helped me cope with losing my best buddy. It speaks to the unconditional love dogs give, and the immense gratitude I have for their companionship. I cry when I hear the song, but it is cathartic.

Best wishes my dear, I worked in vet care for a while and did a fair share of euthanasia, it always breaks my heart with the family and their stories of love for this animal and the life they spent together. Please reach out for support if needed, and the veterinary staff (at my workplace anyway) always are kind ears and can offer some comfort. We are here thinking of you and wishing you peace. Hearts.

Noooooooooo poor dog! This ruined my day

i understand this pain too well. had my dog for nearly 2 decades. broke my heart when she died. you never really stop missing them but you learn how to cope with the lose as time goes by. it will still hurt three weeks from now but you will adjust and learn how to keep going.

You gave her a good life, thank you for that.
