This is a very eye-opening video that I encourage every VIP and non-blind person to watch!(youtu.be)

Neat, but it would be great to see more diversity besides types of visual conditions in videos like this

Great video but not a single mention of $1, the leading cause of pediatric vision impairment in the developed world.

TIL I have night blindness and photophobia. Actually looked both up cause I was like "surely this is a more extreme version of what I experience, and my experiences are normal". Apparently not.
Now I'm wondering if it is inherent, just linked to myopia, or connected to my other sensory processing issues. Cause they definitely make my sensory problems worse. Being overwhelmed by light changes can mess with my ability to even think. But maybe my sensory issues are also worsening my sensitivity to light changes?
It's good to know, tbh. Feels better than just saying "I can't see shit except in a very specific light range". Stuff makes more sense now too, like how other people don't need the lights on when there is basic daylight coming through the window, or how other people don't need tinted glasses to even go outside when there aren't any clouds, or how other kids growing up in Spain didn't struggle with light reflecting off the white buildings.
