Dolby Atmos only benefits those who have technology capable of playing it. I would choose quantity over quality any day when it comes to audio description.

And let's not forget the lack of description for series on iTunes. I don't care whether it's Apple's or the distributors' fault that this is the case; the fact that it remains so means that either Apple has not attempted to remedy the situation, or that their efforts to do so have thus far been in vain.

Your previous article about audio description which you shared here also showed an incredible bias towards Apple and an inability to correct the glaring inaccuracies which I pointed out to you. One of the first things journalists learn is that impartiality and objectiveness is desirable, yet this is something you proudly ignore and make no attempts to hide. While I'm fine with personal blogs not being held to the same journalic standards as more reputable websites, in my opinion, your bias damages your credibility and respectability as an accessibility advocate.

I pointed that out in my last one, too.

Which is fine. Other people see me as a valuable resource.

I agree that Netflix has the edge on AD, and I don't even use Netflix anymore. Haven't for almost 2 years. iTunes AD issues are the fault of the distributor. I haven't watched anything on Apple TV Plus, but it would be a shame if they have programs without AD. I think Hulu is still the worst..

Netflix has the better AD.

Yep. That's what I said.

Praising Apple because they described like 5 shows, lmao.

Disney+ and all their Bluray disc description tracks are in stereo so they don't really deserve the award either. Also, none of their back catalog tv shows have any AD.

Netflix commissions audio description tracks for older movies and TV shows, even it they don't own it. And it's 5.1 as well.

I was praising Apple because their mix is far higher quality than Disney Plus. Also, you missed it, but I also point out that they describe all titles in 9 languages.

But yes, Netflix is far better.

I agree with you, that giving the award to Disney+ is, well, at least something, that can be argued about. I mean, the descriptions on Disney+ aren’t even in 5.1. That’s, we’re Netflix does a far better job. I can’t say much about Apple, since I haven’t hooked up my Apple TV anymore. But, if you would ask me, who has the best audio mixing, Disney+, prime video, or Netflix, I would always say Netflix. And probably Apple. But I can’t judge that at the moment.

Overall, Netflix is far far better than Disney Plus.
