I hope this is helpful information to visually impaired people and their guides.
As we come out of lockdown, many people are worried about contact with their guide / assistance staff. If you haven't heard of the Ramble Tag, it's a guidance aid worn around the upper arm or wrist of a guide, offering an alternative to touching arms, hands, clothes etc.
They are going to be offered by rail and airport assistance staff over the UK and Ireland as an alternative to be given a wheelchair. Invented by a blind man and his neighbour (myself) in 2018 as a tool for more independence, but during this time people are also finding them very useful.
The RNIB can help with more information or contact Ramble Tag.
