They are usually called developmental cataracts on medical pages I check out. If you look under that name, you may get more hits.

Something you need to keep in mind is amblyopia; lazy eye. ELI5: if vision isn't optimal in early life, fixing it later never gets it to 100% because the brain never learnt to fine tune what its seeing.
Also, you should ideally have a thorough screening physical exam and some basic bloodwork. Juvenile cataracts in both eyes are sometimes associated with other bodily conditions.

I have had cataracts since birth but, when they tried to remove it it became permanent. If you want to talk you can PM me.

I had them removed at 3 months old. Most people trust me as I did not get my full site back.
