Commercial support services if an employee become visually impaired (self.Blind)
submitted by 8saku
Do you know of any support services or companies that may be useful in helping you to keep the same job if you become visually impaired? In our country, there is a system called "job coach" as a welfare service, but it is not sufficient support because it is basically carried out by laymen in the field, and I wish there were other options such as more substantial services. In particular, I'd like to know a system where the companies pay for the benefits of continued employment, rather than the employee involved paying for it.

For example, I know of a service that aira uses a tool called teamviewer to support digital tasks. $1

I would like to know also if there are any consulting services that can give them specific advice on how to improve their business process if exists. If you know of any other services, I'd appreciate it if you could let me know. Thanks.

In the US, it might be the responsibility of the vocational rehabilitation department for the blind to ensure that the blind person learns alternative techniques and that the organization is an accessible environment. In other countries, it might be the duty of an organization for the blind. Countries differ in who pays for assistive technology.

Thank you for your reply. As for the minimums, I think many countries can guarantee that. I hope there are additional commercial services to make it even better.
