There are needle threading devices made of diamond shaped fine wire that go through the needle hole and you put the thread through the diamond and then pull the diamond back through the needle eye. Here are some on Amazon

You can get various types of "self threading" needles. Here's a link to one type. (Amazon UK, sorry)

All of them have the eye shaped with a hole in it that you just slip a loop of thread into and it traps it in the eye.

My mum also used needles with extra long eyes I believe.

Put the thread on your palm and roll the end of the needle on it over nd over until it forces through, then gently tug it and tie.

Or use your phone as a magnifying glass and prop it against something while you glare at the screen to thread it.

I'm such a dummy! I use my phone to magnify everything. Why didn't I think of this? Thanks!!

Ah this question is making me squirm a bit. I'm not legally blind or anything just have pretty bad nystagmus and even with my sight I cannot seem to thread a needle through. I get double vision staring at that damned thing and teachers used to laugh at me because I always needed help in textiles class. Sorry this was very unhelpful I just needed that off my chest.
