It’s very common. Most schools have canceled classes since APril. You’re in such close quarters, and receiving direct one-on-one guidance, it makes sense to cancel due to the pandemic.

I waited around two years to be matched with my dog and it was absolutely worth the wait. I can't imagine how you must be feeling but wanted to reassure you that when it goes ahead all the waiting is so worth it when you begin the journey.

I am so sorry. What school was this? Mine has been doing a few home visits when that is possible to pair people with their guide dog.

I also was supposed to get a guide dog from gdb in March. The worst part for me was they had a cancellation in the session before mine, but I didn’t want to miss more school, so now I’m kicking myself for not going. A few weeks ago, I got an email saying that they’re going to hopefully start putting together teams by the end of the summer. Fingers crossed!
