looking for recommendations (self.Blind)

Hi,
So, I have been blind since birth, I do not have any sight, nor have I ever had any sight whatsoever.
The reason I say this is because I am looking for someone who would be able to work with me keeping in mind that I have never had any sight before.
So, I'm looking for someone who would be willing to give me some idea about leather crafting as a totally blind person.
I've always found this interesting, and would definitely be interested in pursuing this as a hobby, but am not too sure about where to start.
I'd also be interested in learning some stuff about whitling wood.
Nothing fancy, I just want this as a passtime so I wouldn't want to use any big machines or anything.
Does anyone have any recommendations of where to find either any good accessible videos, or someone who would be willing to at least teach me the basics in either craft?

My husband, who is legally blind, started spoon carving a couple of years ago. He enjoys showing people how to do it and how to get started. He started doing it after losing most of his vision.

Does he only carve spoons?
Does he do any figurines or just other little small things?

Lighthouse for the Blind has a camp to teach blind people woodworking. I really want to attend when they are doing in-person stuff again!
