Is the Android braille display support any good?

In comparison with other operating systems, BrailleBack is really bad. If iOS is an option, choose it.

Android is fine if all you want is to read braille, I guess, but definitely not for writing. Last I checked, anyways. It admittedly has been a bit since then, as it was quite bad.

I've tried it with displays connected with Bluetooth and it seems to display what the screenreader says pretty well, ± some contractions for different types of interactivity.
There are devices like the braillenote touch and braillesense polaris (braille note takers) that run on Android and I'm pretty certain they both use the default brailleback stuff.

No, braille notetakers which run Android definitely don't use BrailleBack.

Braille hardware support on Android is shit. Input and output work, but it's basic to a comical degree and will destroy your phone's battery
