In which language should I write alt texts? (self.Blind)

Hi, guys! I'm brazilian and I'm starting an Instagram profile for my drawings. My captions are in portuguese and english, but I'm having doubts about how should I write the alt texts. As I do not know if the screen-readers do translations, I am in doubt if I write only in one language or if I should write in both.

Yeah someone just told me that, I didn't knew how to do it. I'll also pay attention to the primary language of my followers and do some tests.
