[Suggestions?] reading docs, scrolling with feet (self.Blind)
submitted by dino1489
So this is always something that gets blown off by most of the people I tell, but I definitely have issues reading small letters so i blow them up. This is normal and not that hard to do. but I'm also a musician, and I write lyrics. I don't instantly remember everything. So I have to keep scrolling down the screen. Normally its not a big deal but I play guitar, and it happens a lot. I feel very much limited.

It came up this year at some point that I pause a lot and its irritating. And forget them, but it annoys me too TBH. I know its not a big issue, but does anyone have any suggestions.

Some kinda software or foot controller or idk.

something like this?

You probably want some teleprompter software. There's lots of free/paid options. Most of them will let you have the text scroll, large letters, at a speed you can control. Also, you can usually stop/start the scroll with the spacebar or mouse button. So you could just put a keyboard on the floor and use your toe =)

Here's a $1 with a bunch of free ones, even a web based one.

This is a really great idea. I was talking about this with a musician friend recently. I play guitar (just casually) and it's really hard to see the chords, understand where you are in the song, and put the music and words together. As it is now I ask my girls to help me out but that's just as challenging.

Honestly, seems like a good tool for even sighted people right?

There are button controls and alike that can work on iOS. So could have an iPad and assign the buttons to scroll down. That or look for a teleprompter software as they auto scroll
