I can't speak to how offensive it might be be however be aware that scarification can be unpredictable and you might have to have multiple passes/cuttings to make it scar sufficiently. If you want this perhaps a tattoo might be better. I have an ankh on my shoulder which has been cut several times and had ink and ash added and it has not raised up very well. Good luck.

Also if you're expecting instant readability to the blind by touch, don't. :) A very small percentage of blind people can actually read braille to begin with, and the tolerances are rather tight for tactually standard braille such that if the skin heals a little off-the-mark, the words may be hard to read with a finger.

You'll have to do better than that to offend me. As long as you know the risks of scarification and appreciate them, go ahead.

It isn't offensive, but whether it has meaning to you. Some people get tattoos in other languages because they feel it is cool, while others do it because of deeper meaning. It's up to you.

I'm not offended, just never understood the point of tattoos in the first place. Hey, you do you though! 😊

Doesn't offend me at all but I wouldn't do it myself lol.
It would hurt like hell to get enough scar to have readable braille.

I think it is a little odd to want Braille on your body, but I am not offended.
bradley22 1 points 2y ago
why do you want it? Those who aren't blind won't be able to read it and those who can will be rare, if you want it for the cool factor that's fine :) just don't expect people to know what it means.

That's what it is about though. I find it quite difficult to put the meaning into words, but that people won't know what it means is the point that it is about. They can see it, but don't know the meaning behind it just like they see me but can't see my true self.

Ah.

I think it is certainly nonsensical to get that if you are not blind and do not use Braille. I don't usually think of things as offensive or Ableist but I think this one is.

okay thank you for your honest opinion.
