How common is it for blind people to use statues as a masturbatory aid?(self.Blind)
submitted by thebeatsandreptaur
Recently my girlfriend and I ended up in the weird section of Amazon, namely the section that sells naked statues. We came across this question to a seller which we found very interesting, "I am blind. Amazon descriptions are pretty vague. Do we see her feet? If so, are they well done? Are her toes well-formed? Do we see her soles?"
We're both pretty sure this person has a foot fetish and is using the statue as a masturbatory aid. The fucking ingenuity of the whole thing really impressed us. So we were wondering is this a common thing?

I...actually know the guy who posted that, and he's done so on quite a lot of other statues on amazon. Please don't take him as representative of the whole blind community, he is an extremely strange person.

Oh, I didn't really take it as strange at all lol. I just thought it was really curious! So this guy does that a lot? We honestly thought it was pretty clever!

Tell me it's Richy from The Zone.

It's not, but I'm not into doxxing so I won't reveal his identity.

so I honestly have a theory that blind people are, on average, slightly more kinky than their sighted counterparts, especially those who lost their sight really early/were born blind. This is due to the way sexual associations form, and the inability of your average blind person to form them with typical visual stimulation (i.e. pornhub). I can't say its a common thing, but then again foot fetishes aren't that common. However I have certainly gone down weird and wonderful routes when it comes to sexuality, and to claim that blindness played absolutely no role in my own development seems clinically naive. It would be equally naive to attribute anyone's particular kinks as being caused entirely by their lack of sight, however. Hope that helps.

I think that sounds plausible, except the Pornhub part. Sighties didn't seem to have a lot of trouble becoming sexually normative by the numbers before porn was widely available. Still, I'm open to the idea that blindness can interfere with the way those associations are made and so on.
Has anyone studied this?

not to my knowledge. one day maybe

I also had a theory that blindness would make people more open to bisexuality, or other forms of demisexuality since primary sexual characteristics are not directly perceived... But talking to people, seems not; it's just me. ;)

How does that work? I mean, if you are a blind guy for example who is straight, then you won't be turned on by being with another guy. Guys have penises, and if you're a guy and that isn't what you're in to, then no. I could go on and on about the differences in physical bodies when compared with women but won't do that. I mean really, we all have our preferences, blind or not. I think people should be more accepting than some currently are of people who may have a different sexual orientation than you do. People can be very judgmental, and blind people are just people like everyone else, good bad, and everything in between.

hmmm I dunno. voice is still perceived.

Funny, the title of this question made it seem like it was going to be a dumpsterfire. Consider me weirdly surprised haha.

Hmm, I've never tried it, I never even got an slightest idea similar to this (and I consider myself a very creative person, in sexuality as well), but it definitely sounds like a great idea.
I've lost my sight when I was 11 years old, so I have all kinds of visual data, but as I'm having difficulties thinking out good-looking non-simple shapes, trying to imagine a woman body often results in bad proportions.
Having an statue reminding me the correct model could thus be very useful for my visual imagination, and thus for quality of the whole thing.
Thanks for sharing this, I will definitely try it out. :)
Also, as for weirdness, it's not like kinky people are weird. It's like non-kinky people are not creative.
If someone is blind, it has nothing to do with his / her weirdness, and if someone is weird, it has nothing to do with his / her sexuality.
Being kinky simply means being creative in sexuality, that's all about it. Nothing more, nothing less.

I use things like audio recordings particularly of women from /r/gonewildaudio for a masturbatory aid. I've never considered using a statue but that would not feel like the real thing anyway so I don't think it's something I fancy.
blind virgin man here. .

That's literaly the first time I'm presented to this concept.
retrolental_morose2 points2y ago
Not for me, but I am just one voice. It's possible anatomical accuracy is useful for other purposes of course ...
Alaisha1 points2y ago
Hmmm no. They certainly wouldn't feel very life-like/appealing. Then again, I don't even feel faces or anything so… Oh, and I've been blind all my life.
RJHand1 points2y ago
Wtf? Nah bro just use your thoughts like a normal person lmao. Thats how I've always done it anyway. Never heard of this.
bradley221 points2y ago
I wouldn't do it but then again I prefer humans to recordings and things like that.

I can't decide whether to downvote this or not. That is a strange thing indeed. It looks like us blind people can be weird too.

Apologies if it comes off as offensive or anything. We were just really intrigued by the whole notion and thought who better to ask than the blind community itself? Didn’t really assume it would be super common or anything but most people engage with pornography to some degree and figured like how some folks are more visually stimulated or prefer stories, the blind might have those same sorts of preferences such as tactile or audiobooks etc.
