I've considered using that app. What sort of things are you not allowed to help with?
X95-112 5 points 2y ago
To help others or receive?

If I called, what would you be unable to help with?

Well it depends on the situation. I highly recommend that you should not ask strangers to read confidential documents or stuff like credit card numbers cause you can't trust everyone.

Sometimes it will take a few moments to describe something cause we have to think ourselves about the description that could make sense to a visually impaired person. We don't know the best description because most of the time we never had to describe it. As an example explaining Mat colour to a person. It's still very much the color you know but it's different. It's the dull version of a color. Shiny, bright and eye popping being the sexy version and Mat being the lame one. Also please forgive us for some comments, Because for some of Us, this is the first time doing these stuff and we kinda forget after a while that you are different than Us. I didn't meant that in a mean way. I just don't know what else to call it. Like yesterday I told that person that he should be a stylist cause his wardrobe is amazing. Then I replayed the sentence in my head again few seconds later. I realized that was a real dumb thing to say. So excuse us.

You're not supposed to ask a helper to help you cross the street or read sensitive information.

Yep. Agree there too. Hell even 20/20 people walk right into lampposts in the middle of the day.

I only get like 4 calls a year, I love doing it! I wish more people who could use help knew about it / used it!

That’s the thing, as much as the app is good, most people will try to do as much as they can first then if they need it they’ll use it.
