A visually impaired friend recently recommended Bespecular to me as a possible venue to volunteer as a visual translator but they are not currently accepting new participants. Is there another resource that you have used that you might recommend? I have been doing some visual translation stuff on the fly and have gotten good feedback so I'm looking for a place where I might be of more assistance to others. (Volunteer basis only, not looking to make this paid work.)

The only note is that I don't use Facebook; I'm aware that there are some active groups there that allow sighted people to volunteer to visually describe submitted images, videos, and memes but those aren't open to me as a non-Facebook user.
