I have some vision, but for presentation purposes, I can't read notes or the slide deck on the screen
Does anyone have any presentation tips? I sometimes forget where I am, or what info is on my slide. Not sure if there is anything I can do other than just spend a lot of time practicing

I usually have a separate file of notes that I read from. I read braille, so that probably won't work for you. I use my slides to enhance my presentation. I was taught it is bad practice to just read from your slides. I have notes on what is on the slides, and I sometimes have notes on where things are so I can point them out.

Thanks for sharing... Unfortunately I don't read braille... Thats a good point, making notes specifically where things are so I know where I need to point them out

I am totally blind, so braille is kind of my only option. I could wear just one headphone, but I hate that. Others may have better tips; I don't do a lot of presentations with slides. I have issues creating slides, so I try and avoid them whenever I can.

For high impact presentations, I memorize.
For other daily ones, I have an iPad using airplay to the screen. I then use airpods so I can run VoiceOver

Practice, confidence (which comes from practice) and condensed notes - make your notes as simple and short as possible so you can fit then on your screen in huge font.
If you need to use a screen reader though, consider wearing a single worked earbud.

Thanks! What do you mean by ear bud? Would I record my own voice and give myself instructions? What do you think of bring a tablet? So i can massively enlarge it lol

Either recorded notes or a screen reader reading off a document on the computer that you could control with a presentation remote. Those are my initial ideas, but I'll admit I'm not sure about the implementation, just something to consider.
I gave lots of presentations with a tablet. It makes sense when you have to reference different documents that you didn't possibly memorize.
In the end, I like to work from memory as much as possible. Even fully sighted people look less confident and knowledgeable if they keep looking at the slides or their notes.

Well, I actually had the same problem. But actually practicing works. A lot of practice. After some time you just get used to it and you don't even have to look at the slide. I used decktopus for my presentations and it has a rehearsal feature so maybe it helps you too.

Memorize as much as possible. Know your stuff

If you read and can print in braille, that is one idea. I read print, so when I present, I just use a large notes/slides printout, like on large paper with large font.
