largest barrier to this sort of idea is presumably the need to point the phone camera ahead of one. If you're not wearing it somehow, you've got to hold it in the same position to get the same results.

Hey retrolental morose, thanks for the reply. Yep, i agree. Would be good to know if in general most people would be unwilling to use a phone app in this way. I suppose it wouldn't be too difficult to design a way of attaching the phone like a body cam. And as long as it was pointed roughly in the right direction I believe it could work.
