NVDA won't move to the next page in MS Word (self.Blind)
submitted by Laser_Lens_4
I'm currently using NVDA version 2020.2 and Office 365. Whenever I have a document with more than one page, NVDA simply will not move to the next page. I reach the bottom of the first page and it just stops. To move down, I have to navigate by paragraph or use ctrl+end. The same happens if I try to move from the second page to the first page. Anyone know about this? Where do I even report these kinds of bugs?

I’m an NVDA code contributor.

How are you moving between pages? Are you using UI Automation in Word (advanced settings)? Does toggling that setting (turning it on if off, off if on) make a difference?

I'm just using the arrow keys while editing normally. After some testing, this looks like a Microsoft problem since it happens with Narrator and JAWS as well.

That's odd. Does the UIA setting make a difference? (I imagine it wouldn't if Narrator is also affected but it's worth a try)

I have no idea what that is. I just open Office apps and use them with nvda and that's it

Go to NVDA advanced settings. In the UI Automation group there’s an option for using UIA in Word. Try toggling it and see if it makes a difference.

You report bugs on Github, but first I suggest posting to the NVDA email discussion list.
