Severe Astigmatism, and "Lazy" Eyes (self.Blind)
submitted by Epileptic-dan
Hi, I am a 28 Y/O. I have severe astigmatism, and over the past few months my vision has went from okay with glasses, to the point I cannot see in the light very well, because of the glare. Both of my eyes are "lazy" for lack of better terms. I cannot keep them straight. I have an appointment with an eye doctor at the end of September, and just got a new script for glasses. It is very hard to see outside, even on cloudy days, I have to look at the ground, as I do not have prescription sunglasses. Is there anyone else on this page that can give advice on how to make life more comfortable? I get very sad because I cannot see the things I used to, in the way I used to see them. It is hard to read smaller letters even close up, and it was never like this before.

Look into NoIR sunglasses for the glare.

I went to the pharmacy and got ones that go over my regular glasses, they help a bit and will work for now.

Do you also get vertigo or dizziness because of this? I do but i dont know if its normal or if i need to see a doctor

Yes, but I also have epilepsy, and the meds cause me to get dizziness too. The glare outside will throw my balance off at times as I’m not used to it.

Thank you. Been suffering from this for a long time as well as my vision is getting worse. I hope you find something that helps
