Hi all! I’m currently working on a story project that has a blind character, is there anything I should absolutely know before writing them?

Im blind in my right eye so parking can be hard especially judging the distance of the car on my blind side when im pulling in. I always end up leaving more space on That side since I'm scare im too close but in reality could have pulled in closer to that car. Any tips on being able to park better?

My mother may lose her right eye and she has a cataract in her left eye. Can I please get suggestions on how to make things easier for her while she adjusts?
