Reading Impairment or something else? (self.Blind)
submitted by TindalosKeeper
Ok, for starters, let's bring an example.

$1

A phone example, look at the "Podcasts" name on the image.

Without moving your eyes from the name of said app, can you see the other app names around the app you are looking directly?

I can indeed see the names of the shorter app names (which are slightly blurry), but then the other longer app names are just too blurry to be seen, prompting my eyes to move to see the name correctly.

This happened like a week ago, where, for some reason, I don't seem to be able to read as properly.

No, I don't have blind spots or my peripheral vision is obscured.

I am indeed nearsighted with 5 year old glasses (Which don't allow me to see far anymore, so I had them changed, waited a week and need to wait another week for them to arrive).

What this phenomenom could be? Or am I just hyper aware of my center vision suddenly? Because this never happened before to me and it's a bit scary.

Thank you.

That wallpaper is seriously. not helping. That's probably half your problem.

Well, it was an example of what is happening to me, to be honest.

There was literally no plans or anything.

Do you want me to make it smaller?

Maybe I can make it so it looks like a real phone.

But even at that size, it's just hard for me to see the other names around the app if I focus on the name of one app.

No, I mean the wallpaper on your phone has a lot of white stars that are interfering with the icon text, making them more difficult to read and creating a lot of visual distraction.

Done, friend.

Follow the new instructions in the post and see if it helps! :)

Oh, it's actually not my phone, is a random phone as an example, lmao.

Hold up, let me see if I can find a better example, and I'll update the post with it.

So your other eye is 100% blind?

If so, I'm so sorry to hear that :(

I have 20/20 and i cant even read the names around snapchat.

Really? It eases my anxiety a bit.

Some say I may just have become hyper aware of my central vision, like I feel "blind" or need extra effort to read.

Kind of crazy.

Could it be eye strain that triggers this weird thing?

Thanks for your input, still. :)

Prob just anxiety. Like when you switch to manual breathing mode when you think about your breathing. You just noticed something thats always been there
TindalosKeeper [OP] 1 points 2y ago
Heh, maybe.

But I will probably require more input, specially from 20/20 people like you!

Again, thank you! :)

(By the way, I upvoted your first message, yet somehow, somebody downvoted you as well... Whoever did that may have the answer? Sorry about that, though)
