I'm taking a stats course soon and was trying to install spss. I understand that there is an option to select that you are using a screen reader during setup but I have yet to find it. I tried installing it and adding the screen reader option after insulation but can’t access anything in the program at all. I’m using spss 26 premium. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Ah, yes, the joy of using SPSS with a screen reader. My best advice would be to call IT and ask them to help you remotely. SPSS is great once you have a handle on how to use it, but setting up stuff like this is convoluted.
By the way, I’m a psychology professor, so if you need help with statistics or using SPSS, my inbox is always open.

Any chance you could use R?
There’s $1 that makes everything very accessible – it even automatically generates figure descriptions!

I had to have an IT person set it up for me using remote access for those two very reasons. As spss is quite new to being somewhat jaws friendly, I don’t think they’ve got everything worked out totally yet. I am somewhat new to spss too though. I’m still in the process of learning how to use it. Feel free to DM me if you ever wanna complain about how crappy it is together or have any specific questions about it.

Hi, I only have NVDA, and do not have JAWS.
Do any one here has experience in using SPSS with NVDA and is accessible?

I ended up getting an IT person at my school to help set it up. Thanks for the help and suggestions.
