Hi, I'm blind and I want to make a website using wordPress.org, what are things I should know?(self.Blind)

I ask because when I try to search about this, I get pages about how to make WordPress websites accessible, but not if WordPress itself is accessible to use, if that makes sense.
If you guys could share your experiences using it or other platforms, I'd love to hear them.

Wordpress itself is accessible, but quirky when navigating through its backend menus sometimes. I think that’s the best way to put it. You can use the code editor tool to write html on pages and posts, if you’re not able to use the new block editor. I worked with a screen reader user on a Wordpress site, and he preferred the code editor to create pages and make edits.
There are fields in the media gallery for alt-text, and Wordpress has color-combination verification built in so you don’t accidentally place colors on top of background colors that may make it hard to read.
There are some good plugins for adding additional front-facing accessibility features, too. I’m a huge proponent of building sites accessibly, right from the start.
Wordpress is a great tool, powers over a third of the internet, and I think is worth learning. Fortunately, there’s a humongous community of Wordpress resources and documentation in case you get stuck or have questions.

Hey, I'm a web developer. Let me know if you need me to take a look at anything to let you know if it looks alright, or if you need help understanding anything.

I've used WordPress for a while. It's reasonably accessible, though I'd recommend avoiding the inline rich text editor.
The menus are pretty much what you might expect, though sometimes it's not exactly clear when they're folded/unfolded.
Our mission is to provide everyone with access to large- scale community websites for the good of humanity. Without ads, without tracking, without greed.
