Alt text should work. It should like your issue is a VoiceOver issue (assuming you are putting alt text in the correct place).

I think it was my phone. I just updated it and it all seems to work! I was also wondering because Imani Barbarin mentioned the alt text didn’t work on Instagram so I worried it was a more widespread issue
