My friend is making the best Tabletop Game (system) for blind people. (self.Blind)
submitted by localancers
The game is called "GEMJI" and it is launching in Kickstarter next week.
It consists of 70 magnetic chips.
Each one is 3 by 3 cm, 3mm slim with rounded corners.
Each one is dual-faced with engraved/carved lines (abstract marks).

**The cool part is that they are not only tactile and hard to scramble when touched (because of the special magnets) but also they produce a mechanic clicking sound when they attach to each other so that you have an indication when the event happens.**

With this Game System, you could currently play 30+ tabletop games at the moment.
And also build 3D models - cars, buildings, spaceships, etc.

*Blind play-testers say that it's great that there's something like this - so versatile, applicable both for blind and people who see because a game like actually unites people.*

More info in the campaign soon.

Might want to post it in the off topic room on the audiogames.net forum, I'm sure that some people there would be interested!
Also, maybe your friend could get a spot on this podcast?

This ounds pretty cool. Will there be a magnetic game board as well? That would make this an even more versatile tool for stuff like tabletop RPGs.

As far as I know - it's planned as one of the stretch goals.

Yes, I have a question about the space ship.

Would this be big enough to comfortably fit a common domestic cat or....??And, also, f I bought two of these could I build a space ship big enough for 2 cats, or will they need to travel separately?

This sounds fun, would like to try it out!

Edit; The cat seems to have some reservations about my plan, but I think he will come around.

I was wondering the same thing, especially in relation to the multiple-cat scenario...yeah, aside from that, I don't think I have any other questions

That's great, I saw there is a Remind me button on Kickstarter, so I'll try that, see if it works properly
