How are IOS users doing with the new update?(self.Blind)
submitted by FiverNZen
Has anyone found any accessibility bugs or positive changes? :-) I’ve updated and was curious to see how everyone else has been doing. Happy to try to answer questions as well. I’m running voiceover on an iPhone 8.

So far iOS is grand but voiceover is a bit buggy on watchos7 . Some nice bit for voiceover on new iPhones but all I’m seeing on iPhone 7 is a sound where there are actions available. That can be toggled in setting though. Short answer phone is good but hold off on watch for now😊

Should be grand soon enough. Just so much changes there’s going to be glitches hear and there.

Running iOS 14.0 on an iPhone 11 as one of my tester phones. Seems ok for the most part, but users need to be made aware that Screen Recognition should only be used when they encounter an inaccessible interface. Turning it on in an app that is already accessible totally breaks the experience in the app. Very glad it can be toggled on and off with the rotor and set to only be on for specific apps.

Well, I’ve found out that the Magnifier feature and Camera app in general are much worse in quality of picture when you zoom in than on ios 13.7.

Pretty good but my iPhone XR lags with voiceover using the Alex voice.

I had this issue two with Samantha. You can fix this by adding the same exact voice configuration to the language rotor as a secondary option and switching to it. You can do this by going to VoiceOver>speech>rotor languages>add new language. I hope this helps :)

I switched to other voices and still got the lag. Notbad enough to makeme downgrade just a bit annoying.

everything fine here. I'd suggest you look on applevis to see the major changes. There are more general than accessibility changes, but they are all nice in my opinion.
