Yakuza 0 with audio description (self.Blind)
submitted by NortheasternGorilla
Good evening. This is a playthrough for the visually impaired, of Yakuza 0. It's a great story, and all of the original Japanese dialogue spoken in English. Hope everyone is doing well.

Masterfully done! I neverr thought I’d get access to video games in such an immersive way! My Japanese is too basic to comprehend the dialog, so thanks for dubbing.

I appreciate the kind words, and I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Never in a million years would I believe that something this niche would be created. Though I took Japanese in university; I’m not fluent enough to be able to play this on my own. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. This really means a lot to me.

The pleasure is mine, thank you for checking it out.

Do you have any plans to play Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order? Thanks for doing these!
NortheasternGorilla [OP] 1 points 2y ago
It wasn't on the poll, so I'll add it in now. Admittedly I missed out on a lot of the Star Wars games that got good receptions, except for some of the really older ones like Dark Forces.
I even missed out on KOTOR, though I picked it up on Steam recently to hopefully hit at some point. I think Fallen Order looks really cool though. Thanks for checking it out!

Yeah, Fallen Order is also not very long compared to other games in that genre. Since it is considered to be canon in the current Star Wars universe, hopefully other blind SW fans would be interested in the story of this game.

That's a real solid case you make for Fallen Order, in regards to game length and blind SW fans. I'll keep it on the radar.

Nice. I never got into these games specifically because they were never dubbed. So this is nice. Of course the fantastic description doesn't hurt either. :

Hey Remy. I think they did a great job on the localization, the way they wrote the English dialogue flows really well.
Remy_C 2 points 2y ago
Yeah they seem to. Everyone raves about these games, and even though I'm rather aversed to open world games (thanks time constraints, this series always stood out for me. I'm really looking forward to the next one because it is in fact dubbed. So was Judgement, So I may try that at some point too.

By the way, I really do appreciate all you do on your channel. I haven't really watched a lot yet because you seem to be jumping around a lot, and my memery for story recall in snippets is like cut swiss cheeze. But I've watched enough of them to know I really like what you're doing and how you do it. Even just the walking around when not story is hapening is made more interesting because of the description.

Judgment was actually the other one I almost did, I opted for Yakuza due to it not having English dubs.

It's a good point about jumping around. I've considered releasing a few consecutive episodes of each game at a time, say... 3 or so, instead of cycling one game to the other. What are your / anyone’s thoughts on that from a listener standpoint?

I would do it personally. I think you'll get a lot more trafic when you have something complete. For my part the reason I haven't watched more of your fantastic videos is because I don't want to get invested only to wonder if the you will continue.

What was the reason you chose something not dubbed? Isn't that a ton more work for you? Not that I'm complaining.
