To me it sounds like whomever is telling you this is caught up on the fact that the woman is black, and is giving you an unrealistic reason to be concerned based on that. They are projecting unrealistic stereotypes onto your situation.
Every partner is going to be different regardless of race, and the color of their skin is something that (quite literally in your situation) should make no difference.

I am sighted, but I completely empathize with the question given your disability. I mostly agree with the other responses, in that your friend seems to be worrying you unnecessarily. The only “differences” I could really imagine are hair feel (which you already mentioned) and certain recognizable speech patterns/dialects (which I assume you’d already be familiar with, if she had them).
