Quarantine exercise help! (self.Blind)
submitted by Sarinon
Hey folks,

We're still stuck in lockdown here in Aus and I've acquired a bit of the chub. I've been wanting to get back into a good exercise regime but I don't have access to equipment and I can't go outside. I have a foam mat for Pilates but I can't follow along with the free videos on YouTube. Does anyone have audio exercise guides or something of that ilk they could share?

Check out Eyes Free Fitness on YouTube. If the website is still active, you will be able to download the audio guided workouts as an MP3 file as well.

Y'all pulling through for me! This looks very promising, will try tomorrow morning and see how I go. :)

Besides things like Pilates, you could also consider getting a treadmill. Some models can be neatly folded away and end up not taking up too much space.

Depending on your situation you could also go out for walks or jogging, but you can stay inside and use a treadmill.

Otherwise, don't forget: you can't outrun a bad diet!

I'll take a look, only thing is shipping in my area is extremely slow and something heavy like that is gonna cost a fortune to deliver. Worth investigating though, thanks!

I would go walking but I'm immunocompromised and live in a dense urban area. It's just a bit too risky for me at the moment.

True facts! I have been making small incremental adjustments back to a semblance of healthy eating and so far it's been going well. :)

Yeah, that's why I'm stuck inside too.

I actually lost weight with the lockdown, because everybody else started getting their groceries delivered too, so delivery times became ridiculous. Great opportunity to eat a lot less - no carbs, overall smaller portions. I reached my target weight in a couple of months.

You get to a point where your body adjusts and you're not super hungry anymore.

The more compact treadmills are also lighter, so that should help. They might not go fast enough for running though. That's something to consider.

Try Jumpy Cat on iOS

I have Android. :( I'll search it up anyway and see if there's a mirror. Thanks!
