blind and visually impaired, that are willing to answer questions for our thesis (self.Blind)
submitted by SvenGeurts
Hey everybody!

I am a 17 year old boy from the Netherlands and for my graduation year I need to make a thesis about people dealing with limited senses and the way they affect/improve their other senses. I'm looking for somebody that is willing to be interviewed and answer some questions about your dealing with a loss of sight. My main question is if blind people notice any improvements in their other senses.

Kind regards,

Hi - I think you’ve chosen a wonderful topic! I think your research question may be best tailored to fit someone who suddenly went blind (as opposed to born blind or gradual loss of vision), because it centers on the recognition of sensory improvement (blind people may not have this “noticeable improvement” if they’re blind from birth, and gradual loss of vision may correlate with gradual increase in various other sensory perceptions - this gradual improvement may not be noticeable, but I honestly don’t know).

I have gradual loss of vision, and I haven’t noticed any perceptible improvement in my other senses. Feel free to pm if I can help
