Are there any blind programming communities for Python? on Discord?(self.Blind)
submitted by SadStarCat
I'm not blind but I was visually disabled and have grown adjusted to using tts to read. Python is described as a community and I wanted to join the blind Python community, but I can't find one. I use Discord frequently and would love to join a server if there was one. Plus, since I don't like reading with my eyes much anyway, I like the idea of interacting with a community who thinks similarly.

I'm a blind programmer and we're out there, but there's no central hangout (yet). I kind of want to build a website for this once I finish my PhD dissertation.

You totally should. I'm learning a little here and there and I'd participate on that site.

Maybe not exactly what you're looking for but this guy has a lot of python content on his youtube. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCwOiaZ_CjhyUXeSzrpkOpTw

There are a couple lists and groups for this.

But no discord group I know of, except for this audio game dev server which also has an active off topic channel.

I'd stay away from anything to do with audiogame development, just saying lol. Fuck that forum.
Superfreq21 points2y ago
This has nothing to do with the forum, it's run by someone totally different. Also, I agree that the forum does kinda suck these days, but that doesn't mean that audio game development in general is something you should stay away from necessarily.

Ah. Well in that case, might be worth a look. I'm curious about python myself. And yeah, audiogame development in itself is fine, however many of the members of that forum are quite dramatic shall we say? Lol. I left that place a long time ago.
