Looking for an app to learn Grade 2 Contracted Braille (self.Blind)
submitted by Carnith
Hi,
I've been formally learning the braille code for my program to become an TVI/O&M and used to have an Android phone. There was a really good braille tutor app that did all of UEB braille, with good practice and flash card potential. Nothing like that seems to exist on Apple, at least that I was able to find. Anyone have any suggestions for apps? Our professor recommended UEB Prep but it just doesn't do enough. the Braille tutor app had time trials to see how fast you could write words and phrases.

It's not an app, but www.uebonline.org is excellent.

That's what I used to switch over from EBAE. The literary portion is perfectly adequate. UEB math is... well, I imagine it's a lot easier if you can read what it wants you to Braille. I abandoned it pretty quickly when it started throwing parentheses at me.

I don't think it does UEB though, but it definitely teaches Grade 2.

The problem is that it’s only on Android. I’m on iOS
