If you have a braille display and want to dive in, you can download XML files with sheet music and an application called IBOS MusicXML Reader and see what braille music looks like.

You appear to be correct. In the US, NLS offers some books about braille music, and blindness organizations in other countries also do.

Richard Taesch’s book An Introduction To Braille Music is available from Dancing Dots. It’s a very comprehensive guide, with exercises and explanations.

I learned it at berklee but doesn't dancing dots have a course / tutorial thing on it? Or are they specifically for conversions from print to braille and what not.

NLS is the only source I know of. I tried to learn braille music once, and I gave up after a couple of days.
